I think it's a beautiful name. As long as she and the father are happy with it, then go for it!!!

I love the name....my daughter's name is Morgan. She is 15 so at the time, it didn't seem like a very popular name to me. In fact, I was at the OB office one day and saw a picture of Morgan Fairchild and that's when I got the idea. (No, I didn't name her after her, I just liked the name.) But now at my daughter's school there are a lot of Morgans, both boys and girls. I think it is fine for a boy and it sounds great with Thomas. If the parents like it, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! ;-) Congratulations!

Morgan is nice for a boy. I'm not feeling the Thomas part though. It doesn't really flow that good. Since the first name is 2 syllables, the middle name should be 1 or 3 to sound right. Like Morgan Anthony. Also, Th spelling DOES look a little girly. I think she should spell it Morgen.....oh, well, maybe not... I just looked at that and it looks weird. ;) Anyway, whatever she wants to name it, it's her decision and the name will grow on everyone once they get used to it.

Morgan started out as a boy's name but now it's a girl's name. Sure there are male Morgans but b/c it's used so widely for girls, that now it sounds too soft and fem! Just being honest. What about some other name that's not known to be a last name.

Well I don't see anything wrong with Morgan for a boy....Captain Morgan...lol...not making fun just pointing out that it can indeed be used for a boy's name...although I think in that reference it was a last name...I like the Riley for a boy and it can be used for both as well...actually I really like the name Mackenzie for a boy...but I really have never heard it for a boy and my husband really thinks it's a girls name...

Why give a child a name that is for boy or girl.. There is enough confusion in the world as it is.
If your daughter likes the name but think of the child growing up with a name that can be for boy or girl.
Then Morgan is such an awful name..Makes me think of "Morte" "Mortician".
Thomas is a good strong name.. can go well for the first name.
Sorry my opinion..

Cute name but I think its prone to the last name initial after it. (Morgan P. Morgan A.) and like you mentioned, for a girl too....that would kinda stink. But overall I like the name.

I like it- it is unusual but not too gross or pretentious. Sounds like a rich boy's name, LOL.
Please don't use Morgan for a girl's name, though- it's so common these days, and I knew a girl named Morgan in high school who was just the nastiest girl alive, so it's a bad connotation for me. In a girl, anyway...

I think its kind of soft, but a good name all in all. Thomas is a good strong middle name, so that if he ever decides to use it he can.
I'm sorry but I always associate Morgan with a girls name or a feminine name. Other similar names:
Quinn, Daniel, Riley, Sheridan, Parker
