Well what do you mean several times?? Throughout your pregnancy I can understand. If she is coming to your home, then it is to see if your home is alright to deliver a baby in. She may make some recommendations to ensure your home is going to be the best place for you and your baby to have a safe delivery in. Other than that i am not clear on what you want to know!

Woman pick to have a midwife that is why. I picked a doctor I see him when I want too. Midwife are more like your mother, they want to make sure you are takin care of. That's there job.

In my opinion, midwives develop a closer relationship with the mother, and family before birthing the child. So, I assume it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for one to spend more time with an expecting family than you would see a regular doctor. Make sure she's not messing around with your hubby. ?!!?!

normally women will see their OBGYN approx 15-20 times during their pregnancy. If she is wanting more than that, then you might ask why. If you are in a high risk catagory, then that might be why.
