To say God has no purpose, therefore is not, seems rather arrogant to me. It reminds me of a story I once heard of a husband who once came home to his tidy house, with the flowers growing in the window box, the lawn was mowed, the kids were neatly tucked into bed, and dinner was waiting for him on the table. Ignoring all this, staring at a faint stain on the carpet where his son had spilled some red cool-aid, and with contempt, he asked his wife what she did all day.
Ignoring the comment, she smiled at him sweetly, and kissed him (as she did every evening). As he sat down, she took his boots off, brought him a cold glass of lemon-aid, and asked him how his day went. He went to bed that night, dreaming on how he could get rid of this monsterous leach he had been calling his wife.
Does this make any sense? Comments please, Thanks.

In Gina B's comment, her last sentence is exactly my sentiment.

This is not a male bashing theme. Just showing the patience of God, dispite the arrogance of man, saying there is no place in my life for a useless idea.

It is saying that even though you do not see the good work that God or the wife does all day does not mean that He or she is not doing it.

I understand what you are getting at, but existence doesn't prove the existence of a God as specifically defined by religion, whatever religion that may be.

I personally believe there is something more, but, like the husband, people are too dense to grasp at the concept. This isn't a fair analogy though, I believe men and women are equal and the man in this story is just an ignorant fool. Man and God, however, could not be equals.

Women in fact do not exist. Have you ever taken women camping? They did not evolve in the wild, not by a long shot.

The human woman was exterminated in pre-history by invaders from the Star Nebula and replaced by gene-gineered simulacra as a cuckoo plants its eggs in another bird's nest. Very soon now this infernal plot will fully hatch as men are swept from existence and the Earth rendered vassal and fief to outworlders.

I dont know what your asking but ill try to comment based on my understanding.

The man in this relationship seems selfish, does not recognize the effort put forth by his wife, he needs to sit at home for a year, while his wife works out.

The woman has come to accept him and his ways, she doesnt want to let go of someone who is mistreating and is unappreciating.

clearly the man is not happy, while the woman keeps living her daily life..as if she was living in the past.

Funny. But irrelevant to someone who doesn't believe in God. There is a difference between someone not liking their wife for no good reason and someone not believing their wife exists. So what you have is a cute story that doesn't back up your argument.

There is definitely a God, but some people don't believe because they don't have the faith to believe in Him. You can only notice Him if you believe. I am a little confused about the wife story and how it ties in to all this tho.

I guess this goes to show, the grass is always greener on the other side?? In my experience, you don't appreciate what you have until it is gone. Some men will never appreciate what they have. I would go on a week vacation and leave him with the kids and house. Forget your phone to so when he calls you for advise, he has to deal with it himself.

Well there is obviously more problems going on then that. IF he is not happy why sit there and make your self the same way. I don't know if the story is about you or made up but that story sounds horrible.

i hope im not the only one who gets this wrong, we always notice that little stain on the carpet because everything else goes on normally and goodly, godly. so we dont ever notice the good things in life and when we focus on the bad things we lose hope in God... so you can also say screw the media... yes, this got back to me, me- screw the media, they only show you bad things, and fake good things

dont stress on the bad things in life, because God cant always control what humans do, he can, though, control all those normal, nice things
