I'm thinking of going there to learn swing dancing, and i was wondering, do they separate the classes by age, or are you in the same class with all different age groups? I'm only 13 so I didn't know if they have classes for my age.

Arthur Murray is a chain. Private studio are much better than chains in the Bay Area. I'd recommend looking into San Jose Dance Sport Center or Dance Spectrum at Campbell. These two are very strong ballroom studios. http://www.thedancespectrum.com

There are quite a few places in the Bay Area that specialize in swing. One is called Swing Central. They tend to get younger crowd. I don't know too many of them because I'm primarily ballroom not swing person. But do look around before you go to Arthur Murray. Unlike other places, they make you sign a contract and pay a lot of money in advance.

Krystal, what you're searching for is flamenco dancing, it is a astounding kind of Spanish Gypsy dancing. study the phone e book of the San Jose telephone e book, below dance colleges and verify their classified ads. It gained't say flamenco, yet will probably say Spanish dancing. only for interesting, why do not you pass such as your pal? Flamenco is a hoot to do, all about heel stamping, wicked hips, and finger snapping and also you get to apply little castenets besides.
