Your urine comes out of your urethra and blood comes out of a different opening called the vagina. The 2 are not connected and when you urinate you may not see blood.
If you swim, bleeding may stop while you are in the water. However when you get out it will resume and there for you will leak all over yourself and that may be embarrassing. You most likely are too young for a tampon and you can not wear a bad in the pool. Best thing to do is wait for you cycle to be over and then you can swim with no worries.
Good luck.

I'll second that. I am a mother of a 16 year old girl, and I also work in the medical field.
Urine comes from your urethra, which is a small opening toward the front and the blood from your period comes from your vagina which is a larger opening farther back, between your urethra and your anus. You may want to take a hand mirror and take a look.. it would help you to understand what I mean, as well as helping you get to know your own body.. which is a very natural and important thing to do!
I think that its very grown up of you to ask a question like this. Especially if you are uncomfortable with asking your own mother or another family member. Your school nurse could also answer your questions too.
But if you are having trouble asking people at home, & if you would like some good websites that might be able to better explain, I'll list them below.
I hope some of this helps!!

Your pee and blood come out from different holes so your pee stays yellow because its seperate. The brown stuff is just dried blood and when its goopy its mixed with discharge. If you're near the end of your period, it should be okay to swim, but if you're not sure maybe wear a small tampon. Normally your bloodflow stops in water anyway so you could risk it and go in! And talk to your mum... there should be no need to feel embarrassed! (sorry for being so graphic)

yes that is normal. The flow slows down towards the end and the color changes. You won't see blood when you urinate because the urine comes from your bladder thru your urethra. The blood comes from your vagina. Don't be embarrassed to talk to your mother about this. It is very normal and she needs to know what is going on with you, ok?

Totally normal. Pee comes from the bladder, blood doesn't.

Yellow pee = lack of water, drink more water.
The brown gooey stuff is normal.
Don't be embarrassed to talk to your mom about this, she has gone through it too.

Urine and blood do not come out of the same hole in you body. Urine comes from the urinary tract and blood comes from your vagina.
It sounds like you are at the end of your period, don't worry.
