Not just playoffs; regular season as well. Age doesn't matter, just assume they are all in their prime.

If age does not matter and we are assuming they are in their prime, there is only one choice SHAQ. He has been the most dominant player that is still playing.

Probly Tim Duncan. He is the best post player in the league today in a league that does not have much depth at his position. The offense can be run through him, but it doesn't have to be. He can play the high or low post. Also, he can play Center and Power Forward. He is a tough matchup for any defender. Another reason I would take him is because I could get a good perimiter player with my 2nd pick. If I took a good perimiter player 1st, there wouldnt be many post players left the second time around.

I would draft Anderson Varejao, the guy falls 20 times a game and he would eventually foul out the other teams best player(s).
The guy runs next to a guy, falls down and the refs buy it every time.
Seriously though...Probably a big man or a point guard..None of this Kobe or LeBron crap.
I would take Shaq in his prime.

You build your team with the best player in the league and thats Kobe Bryant. You surround this guy with talent, really build a team around him and not left over pieces from a team built around Shaq and he'll lead your team to the promise land.

Hate him or love him, there isn't another player on the court that is as dangerous as he is offensively. He'll kill your team from all angles, anywhere on the court and twice as much during crunch time.

I'd say Shaq even though I HATE him he does have 4 rings and a huge body that make deffenders scared

2nd choice is LeBron since he may be the next M.J.

I hate to say it but probably Duncan. He is solid and consistent. I don't like the Spurs but know that if I truly wanted to be a contender I would want him on my front line.
