I see numerous anti-abortionists state that it is all about personal responsibility. Isn't it then the person who's pregnant person responsibility to make a decision directly affecting her person? When you make the decision for her it becomes group responsibility.

Yes. Reponsibility includes the Government butting out of our private medical decisions.

There are so many ways to avoid pregnancy if you do not
want to have children. It is utter carelessness on your part
if you get pregnant and it is total desperation if you will abort
a child just because of your irresponsiblity. I also don't agree
that a person has the right to kill an unborn child because
of a personal decision being the responsibility of the person
involved. You and your partner enjoyed every moment of
your cohibiting and so both of you should be ready to
take responsibility as to the result of your actions.

I women who takes the morning after pill because she either had unprotected sex or condom split etc is OK. but a women who has an abortion in the same conditions is not? you guys a hypocrites. Poor lady. Good I hate people like you. U drive me to distraction. Ur not killing a baby your killing a bunch of cells. Untill its born its not alive (alive and living are differnet) and its not a baby. People who belive in not aborting might aswell belive in not cutting toenails or getting rid of a tumor with cemotherapy or cut there hair or even use contraceptive in the first place - Ohhh No thoose poor sperm they'll DIE. :( Get rid of that annoying bunch of cells I say.

Its not a kid at that stage, it has no human like characteristics and will come into the world unwanted. People who believe its a proper kid are overly sentimental in a bad way. "The fetus wont know" isnt even the way too put it, its a bit of cells stuck together, it cant kow and it cant not know because to be able to not know you need to be able too know if u get what i mean. also its up too the mum, by making abortion illegal your in affect making people become prarents when say they were using contraceptive and it didnt work or they were raped or simply they were stupid and they dont wanna reck there lives by having a kid. Not saying kids reck life but for some people they are too young or busy or have other dreams and you cant infaterate them for that everyone wants different stuff. You guys are such hypocrites.
Not to mention if it was illegal women would just get it done illegally and indanger themselves.

I think the personal vs. "group" responsibility is aimed at being responsible and if you have sex, have protected sex. if you chose to not have protected sex you know the consequences prior to and becoming pregnant is a real possibility. If you do not want to have a baby then

1. do not have sex
2. have protected sex.

Abortion as a solution to unwanted pregnancy is wrong. There are ways to prevent it to start with, exercise those.

yes it is the expecting mothers responsibilty to choose the outcome of the living child inside of her but it was also her responsibilty to use protection and do whatever to make sure she didnt get pregnant if thats not what she wanted. the baby inside of her is alive it moves it eats, the baby did nothing if she doesnt want the child at least give the baby a chance to have a family and be loved (Adoption).

Not that I'm defending the view, but I think this refers to the "pre-conception personal responsibility" as in "don't get pregnant."

Tahts not quite it. Its more like the responsability of the person to understand that if they have sex, they might get pregnant. Not if they have sex, they can just get rid of it before anyone finds out...

Na, the decision was made when she had carless sex. Once ur pregnant is time to grow up (mother and father) and take some responsibility for ur actions.

See that is the downfall of their premise.

In addition, they are also the very ones that are taking away the means (access to birth control and human sexuality courses), to those who need it the most.

Just say no didn't work with drugs, and that is non hormonal, and it sure in hell is not going to work with sex!

They are their own worst nightmare. They think they speak for GOD, but I don't think he has ever talked to them! Moreover, the separation between church and state was to keep the church out of government, not the other way around!
