I would avoid getting pregnant while taking antibiotics. They have been known to interfere with the proper development of teeth (resulting in soft teeth) in early pregnancy (this affects adult teeth as well). If you are already pregnant, you have to decide with your doctor whether the risk is worth it vs. an infection getting out of control. But pre-pregnancy, just wait until a week after you've finished your prescription.

I am not sure about that specific one, but I was on antibiotics for strep throat when I got pregnant. It is what nullified my birth control so I got pregnant. So in my case it helped. I wouldn't imagine it could hurt chances for getting pregnant, but is a good question for your doctor.
