I took off my door panel and for an hour attempted to take the window motor out and didnt even budge one screw. is there a web site or manual that i can get that shows how to do this?...I was really trying to save money and not bring it to a dealer.

no dont take it to a dealer take it to a auto shop and probably save alot of $$

some motors can be very tricky, if you plan on doing it yourself please get a manual, in most cars the trick is you have to set the spring and if you dont when you un bolt the motor the spring will pop and it could literally break your wrist, im being very serious. i would recommend taking it in, good luck

Best to get a repair manual like Chilton or Haynes from a parts store and it will show the procedure to remove the motor...just did one on my brother's 96 Z28--took a couple hours with help.
With the door trim off and window secured in the up position, find the 4 rivets that hold the regulator on the door panel---towards the front of the door, in the middle. They are 1/4 inch rivets and you'll need to drill out one area of the rivet head and then peel off the rest of the rivet with a wire cutter type pliers or nipper...at least that's how I did it. After that, punch the rest of the rivet through the door panel and it should let the regulator loose. Remove the rear glass guide track and the lower guide track after scribing the bolt locations to re-install correctly---the rear track has special bolts with a allen wrench opening in the head for in and out adjustment---use an allen wrench to keep the head from turning when you remove the nut so as to not alter the adjustment. The regulator should come out the back opening of the door and the upper rollers should slide out of the back of the track on the lower part of the glass. As stated before, be VERY careful when disassembling the motor from the regulator---there is an awful lot of spring tension on it and if not secured will amputate your fingers quite easily. When you remove the regulator/motor assembly, try to reattach it to the wire harness and operate it so that the regulator arm is in the middle position---there is a hole in the arm and a larger hole in the bracket that should line up and I just put a socket wrench handle in there to keep the arm from springing open when I took off the motor but I also had my brother hold the arm with his foot to make sure it didn't spring around. You could take it to a shop that's done this and let someone who know's what they're doing do the part of swapping the motor.
Otherwise, you drill out the 4 rivets that hold the motor to the regulator very carefully and once the motor is off, clean out any old rivet pieces, re-install the new motor--making sure the center shaft of the drive gear lines up with the hole in the bracket, reattach with screws supplied with the new motor or steel rivets and reinstall assembly in reverse order. You'll need some 1/4 by 1/2 inch bolts to reinstall the regulator to the door---make sure to use lock washers or locknuts on them and check the operation of the new motor/regulator before you install it. Grease the guide channels with lithium grease and reinstall water barrier, speaker, wiring and trim.
