I have a nintendo wii and the opera powered internet is free to download on wii shop channel. You do need a wireless internet but if you dont have one just buy a wi-fi network adapter which u plug into the usb slot of your computer and it sets up a wireless network connection for your wii

You need a wireless connection or you can purchase an adapter to use a wired connection. It's advisable to connect to the internet since you will receive software upgrades and the like, but Wii does not features like Xbox Live where you can play with other people over the internet.

Yes, it is free, you can download the browser on the shop channel. Go to your local EB Games or Gamestop it you don't have wireless internet. I bought a LAN Adapter for $20 that you plug one end into your Wii, and the other is a plug for an Ethernet (LAN) connection. I sugesst you get the hookup, cuz it's cheaper and faster than the Wi-Fi hookup.

no it costs 500 wii points but it is a waste of wii points because you can have the internet on a laptop or a personal computer.

Yes you need wi-fi after all thats the main point of the Wii but I wouldn't suggest getting it online for free cause its probaly just a scam to get information about you so you would be better off if you just kept calling and looking for it around town after all that's how I got mine.

Yeah, but if you already have wireless, then it is free. Unfortunately, almost no one has a wii where i live so there is never anyone to interact with.

It is not free the cord to get internet is $50.00. But don't get it! I had it for a day and it made my Aim, Yahoo! Messenger, and the internet on the computer not work. Then I couldn't use it anymore.
