I think if a guy wants to make all the money and does not wnat his wife to work, then that is fine if and only if that is what she wants also. If she wants to get out and work then she should be able to do whatever she wants. It should also not matter who makes more money. I have been married 10 1/2 years and I have made more money than my wife for exactly 3 months...yes 3 months. Works for me though..we enjoy our lives and since all our money goes together, we both could care less.

That depends on the guy, I guess. My thoughts are...while it might be nice to stay home and keep house and raise the kids....most couples need 2 incomes to raise a family now a days. And, though I've never had a choice I think I would feel funny not having my own money to spend or not contributing financially to the marriage. It really takes 2 these days and woman have so many choices now. There are so many affordable quality day cares out there and there's always the idea of working the opposite shift as your husband or mate to save money on childcare. The cost of living is so high and a one income household that has children is just not ideal. Let hubby share in the child rearing, I say and work the opposite shift. This way you contribute to the finances and see the kids and have a life of your own!

My wife wanted to have children and stay home. So she does, and that is fine with me, BUT we talked about it while dating! Don't marry a guy and expect him to agree with you, find out his opinion on this before you get married.
My wife works harder every day than I ever come close to and she is very happy and satisfied to be a homemaker!
By the way, I get paid for doing what I do but she is in control of the finances at home. My pay is deposited into our only checking account and she takes care of the bills and shopping and does a wonderful job at it!

I don't think men have a problem with earning all the money, but I know I have an issue with my wife spending all the money. It took me 10 years to train my wife that we have to pay bills and buy groceries before we go and spend money on clothes, shoes, misc stuff. We would get into fights because she would spend the rent money on new clothes. I finally got sick of it and re-organized our spending. We both contribute half to all the bills and have a set budget everything else. Any money left over from my pay check is mine and any money left over from her pay check is hers. Now I feel more comfortable having a nest egg and she spends until she is broke.

yeah...like I said in your last question. I want to stay home too. So...if I work...you work. Plain and simple. If i chose to have a stay at home female...I'll hire a housekeeper.

It depends on the man.
Please make sure you make your goals and desires known to man prior to marriage.

No absolutely not. I like it. It's what I do. I like providing for my wife, monetarily, emotionally, physically and sexually. I especially like the last one. I give it all I have.
