A terminatating decimal is a rational number, whereas the decimal of this number ends.
For instance, 2.5.
2.5 The decimal of 2.5 is only at the tenth place and stops there.
1/6 is actually an irrational number because the decimal place goes on and on.
1.666666... The 6's keeps going.
Irational numbers are also sometimes called trandescental numbers.
