Maybe he is allergic to the sunscreen you applied to his face? My son is allergic to all sunscreens. I finally found one that works for him, Arbonne Baby Care all natural botanically based, fragrance free. Look into it, or e-mail me if you'd like more info. It took me the entire summer to find something that wouldn't give him a huge rash on his face.

He may have a little sunburn, but I doubt he's allergic to the sun. I'd wait it out a couple days and see if the rash goes away (try putting a little vaseline on it) unless he has other symptoms of an allergic reaction, in that case I'd take him to his pediatrician and get their opinion.
It could also very well be his teeth coming in, whenever my daughters were cutting teeth they got a rash and cold like symptoms (the rash coming from all the extra moisture on their face) so I wouldn't be too concerned about this.

Has he had a fever or any vomitting in the past few days or is his only symptom his red cheeks? If he has the other's it may be roseola or sixth disease. It passes quickly and doesn't need the doctor to look at it. If you'd feel more comfortable you can take him to the doctor though.
More than likely he just got a little too much sun, I'd put some cream on him and wait a few days if he has no other symptoms. He could also simply be flushed from the heat or from teething.
Good Luck!

it would want to nicely be through his pacifier rubbing his cheeks. He is also allergic to some thing. I easily have a pal that basically in the present day advised me that she thinks her daughter is lactose intolerant. She theory an similar component that it replaced into her drooling. She hasnt given her any dairy products in 2 days and the rash is clearing up. Has he had diarrhea linked with the rash?? if so, it would want to be an hypersensitive reaction really that through his drooling. desire this facilitates! reliable success with him!!

What does it look like? Is it just bright red, like someone's slapped his cheeks or is scaly or bumpy?
Really, the best way to know what a rash is is to have it seen by a doctor.

Get some hydrocortisone from the store. it should clear up in about 3 days. My son had the same rash on his face, and it cleared right up after I put the hydrocortisone on it.
