I read them both. Erotic stories seem to concentrate heavily on big-chested women and very well-endowed men coming together for no better reason than to satisfy an itch. Romance novels usually have more physically realistic people and when the heroine and hero get it on, it's with a commitment in mind.
As an editor, I explain this to writers regularly.

they are delusion...it somewhat is the reason i like them. no longer inevitably lots erotica as trashy romance novels :) you are able to escape from something...a bad dating/a good dating, no dating...and so on. in basic terms provides a destroy from existence, somewhat. i like them. My mom study all of them her existence and at 11 or 12 those trashy components made a deep effect, permit me permit you recognize. those women people have been so eye-catching and the adult males have been so solid and Manly!! Ha!

I like the ones from the Victorian era. Its ironic that an era that was supposedly puritanical managed to produce the naughtiest erotica.
My favorite is called "The Pearl".

You bet! And I enjoy writing them as well. Paranormal is my favorite genre but I do go in for historical and some modern ones.
