to those who say fox news overlooks the bad on President Bush....they DO report it...the difference is that they just give the facts...they don't drum it over and over again untill its rammed into your subconsious....fox has libs on all the time giving two sides of a story......something the other media avoids at all cost....some of you say that the news is SO far right that everything else seems liberal....I see it just the other way....all other news is so far left that anything else(fox) seems far right.....

If the media does have a bias toward the 'Left' why don't the media report the truth about how our Constitution is being destroyed? Do you even know what the Constitution means for this country? The reason that all the ratings for the 'news' is in the crapper is because of the extreme rightwing view expressed every day ! Faux News is the worst offender of the truth. Just because people can watch 3 hours of in-depth coverage of a horse stuck in the mud doesn't make it 'Fair&Balanced' ,just fluff and distraction ! The Bush admin. is the worst nightmare for humans on this planet ! What you don't seem to get is that this country has become exactly what my father told me was so bad about the Communist Russians. He told me that the USA doesn't have.... secret prisons to hold people forever without a trail...or starving people wandering the streets with no homes...heavily censored newspapers and no free press....starting wars to claim territory and control the citizens by force... having a dictator rule for life... if my dad was alive today ,he would be right up there in the protests against this corrupt criminal war ! The only thing worth dying for is to protect our Constitution and our Freedom......not to wage war against the whole world ! We will never win a war against a feeling or a tactic ! Terrorism is not a person or country or an object that could be destroyed..only a feeling. How will we even know if we have won? Will Osama come out of retirement to sign a surrender agreement...not likely ! Face it ...you got punked by 'W' and ya don't even care !

Mainstream media in the US has one agenda: "Keep my lucrative job as a media executive." To do this, an executive must not allow stories that would stimulate expensive law suits or spurn existing and future rich corporate advertisers. The owners are suits in Wall Street who only care about this quarter's profits. The agenda has nothing to do with truth or the welfare of most Americans. You hear about stories and adds that are never run because of this. Monsanto has taken lawsuits to a new height in protecting some of their very dangerous products. A simple example is an ad that NBC refused to run. Go to the PETA web site and look for the Thanksgiving Dinner turkey ad. A child gives a gentle prayer about the treatment of turkeys. It would be effective, but the networks don't want to hurt their bottom line. PBS has fallen into the same trap. It's all about revenue and being financially viable.

The problem is, the media has been SO far right for so long that anything that close to the middle is labeled "Liberal Bias". I don't see many liberal media outlets. They may seem liberal because Bush has failed so much and those things must be reported. It's funny how little Fox News reports on the corruption and lies of the govt., yet they'll do 15 minutes teasing Hillary for her southern accent. Who's biased here? Keep in mind, this same media criticized Clinton and I didn't hear the right complaining so cry about it.

Facts are facts. Deal with it.

Am not surprised. You can tell which way any news organization leans after listening to only a few minutes of their broadcast. What ever happened to just reporting the news? I do think you are wrong in branding the entire national media as left biased though. The right also has their share of biased stations, newspapers, magazines, etc.

Your source is clearly very conservative, and just as clearly has an axe to grind against CNN.

Do you forget the stories of the Bush administration's paying conservative journalists to promote their agenda in the news (Armstrong Williams got a quarter million); and paying Iraqi newspapers to get stories favorable to the occupation in print, and making entire field reports on taxpayer money and sending it out to news stations as though they were legitimate reports from another station? It's called "prepackaged news", and it's not just unethical, but also illegal, and it has been going on throughout Bush's tenure (and in fairness, to an extent during Clinton's).

I don't expect to convince you, as you sound like your mind's made up, but there's your rebuttal.

Sorry but the articles don't support your assertion. At most they're anecdotal accounts of bad judgment by individuals working for CNN. They are in no way evidence of a corporate left leaning bias as you suggest.

Is that the only source you have? An well-known conservative reactionary website?

Maybe if you post some more links I'll be inclined to play Devil's advocate with you...

All the News Media will flip-flop in favor of sensationalism and ratings.

sorry, the media is deeply conservative.

just to illustrate this i'll ask a rhetorical question:
how many cable news talk show hosts were pro kerry in the last election?

i'll save you time - the answer is ZERO!

i can name eight or nine right off the top of my head that were pro bush.
