Lust wears off with time. Love grows. Plus it's pretty safe to say it's lust if sex is the only thing the two of you have in common.

Well when you LOVE someone you want to do WHATEVER you can to make them happy! You would forsake your OWN happiness for the other person! You would lay down your life for them and cant IMAGINE spending your life without them! Its an INTENSE feeling that no matter how MUCH time passes, it never ceases and never falters.
Lust however, is an "animal urge!" Its a feeling in the pit of your stomach that makes you simply WANT that person! You like to be around them but arent sure if you would actually give your life for them. You are more possessive, jealous and controlling when its only lust. You cant keep your hands off of them and when you think about them its more "sexual" then romantic.
HOWEVER, it is possible to feel BOTH for someone (like I do for my hubby).. BUT lust comes and goes depending on the day .... love is ALWAYS there even when you are mad!

Time will tell you. If after a considerable amount of time spent together and you still want to be with the person then you argue that its more love than lust.

For me~ Lust is a sexual feeling. Love is wanting to be with someone, give them all that you have, & to make a commitment to them. Yes, you can lust for the one you love.

By how emotionally attached you are or become to the other person. If you just find that you have an overwhelming urge to get into bed with them and satify your sexual needs period...then its lust.
Naturally...lust is quite present in a loving relationship as well.
