b4 i go to my gyno i HAVE to b clean. i like my appointments for first thing in the am so i can shower and go straight there and b clean. i have this fear that i will smell or there will b toilet paper stuck in the area. is this normal? today is my first afternoon appointment. i have a baggies of wipeys with me so when i arrive at the dr's office i can go to the bathroom and clean myself again. (im going to a new dr about an hr away and i have some errands to run before hand and w/ as hot as it is here im worried ill sweat and smell). am i just being paranoid? im the same way for sex. i will not have any kind of touching or anything unless ive had a chance to clean myself first.
how odd am i?! is there anyone else out there like this?

my dr nos how i feel (ive been going to her since i was 16, im 21 now). and i should rephrase its the same dr but a new office which is y im willin to travel the distance. ur answers r all great!! thnx so much!

Its PERFECTLY normal to feel that way ESPECIALLY when someone is going to have their face down there inspecting things!! LOL Dont worry about it though... I am sure that you are cleaner then most!! I hope all goes "well" at your visit (at least as well as it can concidering!)

I use to work for a ob/gyn and all woman feel the same(well not all) the respectful ones.. I do the same as you but i always wear a pair of brand new underwear it will make you feel better something about the smell of new underwear makes me feel all so fresh.. but anyway if all woman were clean like us there would be less problems down there, two thumbs up for you.

I can totally understand your feelings. I always shave legs and private area before i go. I also try to shower before i go as well. I think it is normal for us to feel vulnerable in the situation but you also have to remember that yours is clean and a lil sweat wont hurt. The doc has probly seen warts clamydia herpes and many other cheesy digusting vagigis. I like you idea of just wiping it down before you go in. I go to the restroom as well and in the restroom they supply little wipes you are supposed to use before and after a urine sample but it makes me feel less anxiouse. Just relax and do what you feel is neccessary for you to be comfy. You can also always talk to the gyno about how you feel it is their job and im sure the doc would have some advice for you.

relax. Dr.s understand its part of their job. A friend once asked her gyno about a sim. situation and the Dr. told her the worse part is usually smelling womans feet. LOL.

That's not weird...it's a good hygienic practice. Of course you should clean yourself before a doc OR a guy checks it all out.

It's normal and I do the same thing but you have to remember these doctor's have seen it all!!!
