The quarterback is position is overrated, which makes this a tough question. However, if you compare the stats of Peyton Manning, the man generally accepted as the best, with Marc Bulger, they are remarkably similar, with Bulger holding the edge in some categories. So, I would have to say that Bulger is underrated.

The most underrated player period in the NFL is Trent Green. The one guy posted that the Chiefs don't know what they're going to be missing - I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan and I know exactly what they'll be missing this year. Nobody ever talks about Green as being one of the elite QBs in the league, but look at his stats. Since 2001, when he became a Chief, only Manning and Favre have put up better numbers than him (never thrown for less than 3,690 yards, had 3 straight 4,000 yard seasons, QB rating over 90 for 4 straight seasons) - and he's done it with a mix and match of WR that would be #3 guys on just about any other team in the league.

Steve McNair, he's always been a great quarterback that dosen't get all the credit he deserves. He always played hurt and even though injury played well. He took his team to a superbowl and won Co- MVP with Peyton Manning in 2003. Still he dosen't get mentioned in the same breath as Manning or Brady. Even Carson Palmer and Drew Brees both good quarterbacks get more props than him and haven't accomplished near what Steve has. I'm not a Baltimore fan but I think this could be they're year.

I would say Marc Bulger and Brett Favre. Marc Bulger throgh no interceptions until week 8 when they face the Seahawks, he was fourth in passing yards after Drew Brees, second was Carson Palmer, thrid was Peyton Manning, and made he's two best WR(Torry Holt, and Issac Bruce) known around the country.

Brett Favre is underestimated cause some poeple say that's he's sorry and he's sucks but they're but he broke more records than any others OB in the NFL right now.

Chiefsfan stole my thunder. I was gonna say Damon Huard who has been a career back up, but when called on to play in 11 regular season games, he stepped up and played amazing. I say Trent Green used to be underrated. But after seeing how he played after his head injury, I dont know. I know consider him overrated.
