Highly doubtful. The genitalia isn't very obvious at this point in time and needs a few more weeks to grow and develop before you can accurately visualize it and know with any reasonable amount of certainty.
Usually 18-22 weeks is best.

I dont believe it is possible to tell this early as the baby has not really developed everything. I got my ultrasound to tell me what the baby was at 20 or 22 weeks. At that time the baby is big enough to see what needs to be saw. My friend had an ultrasound at 13 weeks and it still just looks to little. Congratulations on the baby

I was told at 13 weeks that they are pretty positive that it is a girl. The only thing I will tell you is to be sure wait until at least 20 weeks and have them look again. I find out for sure next week. Remember the scrotum isnot desended yet if it is a boy. Good luck!!!! To let you know with a boy on the sonogram there will be one slit, it is possible to tell a girl easier because there are two slits (the labia) but the baby has to be in just the right viewing position.

13 weeks is early. You usually can barely hear the baby's hear beat by Doppler this early. You will be able to determine gender between 18 and 20 weeks. Mine was done as 19 if I remember correctly.

You need to be at least 16 weeks, but 18-20 weeks is even better. The oragans look the same on boys and girls at 13 weeks.

I have four children, my youngest are twins. The specialist told me at 12 weeks that he is about 75% right. He was right about one twin and wrong about the other. At 16 weeks he was sure, but he had a great sonogram machine and lots of experience; he had never been wrong at 16 weeks. With my first son, however, at 20 weeks the doc told us he was a girl! His name was Megan until the day he was born! : ) A sonographer or a specialist is the best, but the regular ob/gyn isn't always right. Hope you are happy with what God gives you! : )

I could happen, I found out when I was 10 weeks even the woman doing the u/s told me that was really early to be able to tell. It helps if the baby is cooperating. Good luck
