It seems like there are no true Americans anymore! Youre either a white American, an African American, a Hispanic American, or whatever "kind" of American. Why cant we all just be Americans? If youre born here youre an American whether youre black, white, hispanic, chinese, korean, or whatever. And Americans speak English! So learn it! It's gotten to the point where American isnt really a country but full of people who claim allegiance to many other countries. Well I've got news for you, every person who lives in the US should BLEED Red, White, and Blue, and if you dont then leave and go back to Mexico or Korea or France or whever it is you come from. Oh yeah the US was founded on Christianity. This doesnt mean you have to be one but it does mean you have to respect those who are and we have to respect whatever you are whether it be Muslim or Buddhist or whatever. This is America so learn to love it or get out!

Long live Uncle Sam!

thanks for the patriotic reminders...except for the misinformation about this country being "founded on christianity", which it most certainly was not, i agree 100% with what you just said.

No - I have Always Made the Smoker Move. No, Never have I (or anyone I know) heard a Jew complain about Christmas. Don't know what kind of friends you have but mine still "suck it up" when things don't go their way. You live in a State were people are Not held accountable for their actions ?? well that sucks for you - you should move. What do people do about Bully's now ? No safety police where I live that are over-running my life. There has always been people who are apathetic and lethargic - if you are surrounded by them then that says a lot about you ! Were I live Americans are doing just fine - maybe it's you and your crummy neighbors that need to change.

Yeah, that gets me too. One of my professors uses the term "European American" for white people...jeez.

But America was NOT founded ON Christianity...it was founded by Christians on universal moral principles, many of which happen to be featured in Christianity as well as other religions. I am a Christian but I do not want my government to be based on religion, becuase when the lines between church and state blur, they blur in both directions. Just remember that.

Very true. And as you can see by the posts on Yahoo, many of these people have more loyalty to their "heritage" than they do our country.

:Wow, they even have a problem with 'having respect' for other persons' belief in Christianity. I'm not even a Christian and that stuns me. I think American class has been lowered somehow. They sound like the haters in Europe.

You talk about respect for others and then crap all over anybody that disagrees with you. My family comes before my country and always will. My fellow human beings come before my country and always will. And I will respect your religion as long as you keep it out of my face. Finally, I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying here to try to make this the open, accepting country it is supposed to be.

America was founded on Religious freedom, not Christianity. TRUE Americans realize and accept that fact...

it's called freedom of expression - people can call themselves whatever they please.

this is a basic american right/freedom.

if you don't like it - get out.

try saudi arabia - i hear they torture those who aren't exactly like them...
