I'm looking for websites that start off with an introduction to the company or website as told by a "virtual" person who actually points to the different areas of the site. They can be interactive or not. Any examples you have of this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

One example of this would be a sales site in which they're interested in getting your money. You're signing up for a service. They want to make sure you get through the signup properly and fill in all the appropriate blanks. The example here, with which I have experience, is covad (www.covad.com). I recently signed up for dsl service. An online chat sales rep took over the top half of the screen and carefully stepped me through the signup process on the lower half of the screen, suggesting (but not demanding) answers to the questions on the lower half. It was quite helpful, and the rep was able to help when I had "questions about the questions".

This really depends on what sites you want?...you are being guiding now,. then there are sites that give email addresses for questions and can respond in a few seconds, but I am sure you are talking about other sites. Many sites have "hosts" who sit on their PCs and guide you, as that is their job and they are in real time.
If you want an example, go to partypoker (after installation) and ask the host, "what do I do now?"...he/she is right there with you and will answer all your questions NOW. Usually, websites have their introductions on the home-page otherwise they would be sitting in an office waiting for you to walk in.
