To elaborate on the "concentration" theme it's because your brain can only fit so many activities in the executive system. In other words it's difficult to process what your brain is taking in via your eyes if you also have a lot of input from your ears. In fact, I smelled something that smelled like an electrical fire on my way to work and actually turned down the radio to smell and think about it better. It's not so much to "see" or "smell" better as it is to think about said sights and smells more quickly and effectively and with fewer distractions. On a similar vein, when we say we multi-task, it's not really true. We're just switching quickly from one task to the other. It's again due to the limited amount of space in the executive system of the brain.

P.S. Wherever the electrical fire was coming from, it wasn't my car thank goodness.

To concentrate? I'm not really sure, I can't really do more than one thing at once haha if someone calls me I have to shut the radio off completely otherwise I will not pay attention to the phone call lol I will just start listening to the radio.

Speaking for myself, my ability to assimilate sensory input from more than one source rates somewhere between a three-year-old and a tree stump. So I actually turn the radio off.

I already resolved this issue, in my Old Life with Agrippina asking the que. I do not have a link to it, unfortunately. A key work to search on is 'drivist'.
Anyone that does that would be in one of the lower three categories, likely the 4th overall.

Lol, it's true. I guess you do it instinctively as a way to clear your thoughts and get any distractors out of the way. Notice that when you're trying to think or concentrate you'd rather do it in a quiet environment...

Its scientifically proven that although we multitasct your brain does one thing at a time by understanding that you actually have the ability to accomplish more in a day. Compliments of the American medical journal
