We had our daughter in 2006. I want to do something w/ the scrubs that he wore when i had her. Then a couple of the pictures when she was 1st born up till now. And maybe print out some father daughter poem. I am not a very creative person and I have never scrapbooked before. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. Maybe collage? dont know

If you don't mind cutting the scrubs, you could cut a tiny pair of scrubs from the fabric and then use it to embellish a scrapbook page. Maybe cut the pants but still keep the shirt. Before you cut, iron a little piece of interfacing to the back, to make it stiff and keep the edges from fraying.

Here are some samples of what a page might look like, just to get your wheels turning.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about the baby and pregnancy. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

This is a really beautiful poem too!

The things you taught me I will always know.
How could I not? The roots have sunk so deep:
All lessons of the heart that I will keep
No matter who I am or where I go.
Kids learn from what their parents are, and so
You are my book of life, the thoughts I reap;
From you I learned the rules of right and wrong
Against which I at times had to rebel,
Though with regret I carry with me still.
How lucky I am to have been loved so well,
Even as I pushed against your will,
Relying on a father fair and strong.

I glued the photograph onto the different piece and heavily located the only with the hollow in it over desirable. My very almost 3 twelve months previous adorned the physique and we mailed it to Grandma. We placed magnets on the back and Grandma placed it on her refrigerator.

Take a photo of her wearing the scrub shirt or pants, which could be really cute in and of itself, and use that as the start or center of a collage of photos.

I have heard of moms who did this with the child over many years as they grew up and every year they show how the child grows into the shirt. Pretty neat idea.

Or use a really good picture of them together in the center of a ribbon memo board, where you can put cut scraps of the scrubs, along with her first pacifier, cards he gave to you or her about her birth, or that you gave to him about his fathering skills, ribbons from her hair, etc tucked into the ribbon background or put there with pretty pearl headed pins.

Or, in the middle of one of the heirloom memory frames they sell at Target or Pottery Barn, put the pic, then write on the insert or matting all the reasons he's a good dad to her.

You can either make him a robe if you sew or make a gift basket for him and fill the gift basket with things he likes.
