Of course I'm dating myself here but when I was 11 I saw The Osmonds (for me) (during the day) and Alice Cooper (for my 16 year old cousin) (in the evening) on the same day. It was at the Indiana State Fair. Although I enjoyed both shows at the time, ultimately my cousin got in trouble because I had on-going nightmares about girl's heads getting chopped off after seeing Alice Cooper, lol.

Hahaha, I'm not a parent yet but the first adult concert my parents took me to was the Red Shoes ballet.
I've been going to WOMAD with friends since I was 14.
And Kelly Clarkson?! Yes, I pray for God to give you strength!

lol I feel your pain (But I hafta say that Kelly Clarkson is pretty awesome...... you'll end up enjoying it. :) )
Two summers ago I wanted to do something special for my 10 year old. She was a Hillary Duff freak. I mean...... posters all over the wall...... reading every magazine about her. Playing her CD's non stop. (Much to my chagrin)
So I wanted to do something special for her, so I planned on surprising her with tickets to the Hillary Duff concert. (Biting my tongue and so not believing I'm admitting to the Yahoo world that I went to this concert). Well turns out.... we were going to be in Florida when she was in Nashville. Sooooooo I looked at her tour dates and realized that she was playing Atlanta the day we were returning from the beach. Sooooooo I bought the tickets, took a detour at Montgomery, Alabama....... and headed to Atlanta. She had no clue until I pulled off the interstate and said...... "Ok there's our hotel." Ohhhhhh the squeals from the car were worse than Hillary's singing. lol
But we had a blast!! And it is something she'll never ever forget. :)

I was 14 years old. I saw Certain Distant Suns. I thought they were great. Now that I am older, I know that fecal matter is capable of producing sound waves and entertaining 14 year olds.
