What is your opinion on why some people get so addicted to computers, tv,radio, and what not . . .

Addictions are of many varities. When the mind and body assumes derives pleasure from any sought of work then we tend to repeat the deed again and again which slowly brings into the clutches of addiction.
The repeated actions and thoughts seeps into our attitudes or character and forces us or tempts us to do the work again and again.
As far as Technology addiction is concerned, it is because of constant creativity, instant results, latest trends, innovation, fast progress, wide applicability etc. which tempts many 'logical' minds to get addicted. Any body feels happy to explore depth of their interesting subject and they feel much excited when time to time results & usage is coming out of their efforts which is also one of major reason.
Since technology knowledge updation is becoming one of the prime requisite in this modern life, one who has sound technology updation can be much useful and competent ... this is one of the other reason to show interest in focusing on technology
However, it is also true that many people does not derive much pleasure in technology addiction.

That's easy... people get addicted to tech, cause it is made to make everyone's life easier... The easier, the better...
But there are some things in tech that I hate, for example, we don't resolve math operations anymore, cause there is a calculator, we don't care about spelling cause the text programs check it for us...
I like technology, when it is used to help (like laser operations for our eyes) but I hate it when it becomes harmful (like the tv remote, we don't bother to stand up anymore)
