I was watching the news last week, and a judge was on the news, and perhaps I heard him incorrectly, but he said that no-one has actually gone to jail before for what Paris Hilton did...He was ONLY referring to LA though.

Possibly it is true that no-one has had 45 days actual jail time for DWI before, but I think the point is, is that Paris violated her parole twice.

Surely people must have been to jail for what she has done before, or is she being punished 'unfairly'?

Please, I'm only interested on non-biased answers. I couldn't give a rip if you Love or Hate Paris Hilton. I'm just curious as to the law and punishments in this case.

i basically did the same thing Paris did, and i went to jail for 10 days. The only differences are that i live in orange county and i didn't violate my probation twice. Plus i met people in jail who are doing the same time as Paris, for the same thing she did.
when she gets out she'll still be on probation for 3 years because of her wet & wreckless. if she gets a dui, that wet and wreckless will turn into the 2nd dui, send her to serve 3-6 months in jail.
plus she has to do alcohol awareness class as well.
she didn't goto jail because of her wet and wreckless she when to jail for violating her probation, by driving on a suspended license. and out in CA thats a big no no because, and not being rasict but because alot of mexicans drive out here with no insurance or drivers licenses. so the cops are tryin to enforce the law.

The judge must have meant from his court room because I know people who have had to go for their 2nd DWI and 1 for a parole violation on the DWI. He must have just meant from his court.
