Can I install mediawiki on a server with MSSQL 2005 DB??

Not without changing alot of code, the program is designed for MySql (free) or Postgre SQL (also free).

You can install MySql on the same server with the program or on your MSSql server without any issues. Just download the windows version (if you instist)

You really would be better with a Linux server for this.

in case you install sq. convey, the account you used to position in should be set as an administrator account. you should apply the sq. Analyzer or the sq. Server administration Studio convey to create databases.
