Don't base your answer on if you enjoy sex with the same type of gender based people. If you are in fact gay, you have more than just sexual feelings for the same sex, you want a bond. I have been told and it is my understanding that a gay or lesbian person, has had the feelings ever since they were a child. It is just who people are. They are nor worse and no better than anyone else. If you have feeling for someone, man or woman, it is just who you are. Feelings of love are separate from sexual expression and physical attraction.

When a couple walks up to you, who do you check out first, the guy or the gal? In a room full of people, who do you notice the most, the guys or the gals? Picture yourself naked in bed with another person: do you want it to be a guy or a gal? Draw your conclusions from that.

It's whether, not weather. How old are you? Usually, a person senses gayness at puberty. Also, if one has always found the physical being of the same sex more attractive, that's somewhat of a sign. If kissing or touching a member of the opposite sex repulses you, and being near members of the same sex excites you and just makes you feel great, you're probably gay.

But if you must know - if you are sexually attracted to the same sex then you are gay.

How do you know if you are sexually attracted? Look at a guy wearing little or nothing. If you get an erection then the chances are you are gay.

If it happens when you are looking only at a girl who is similarly attired then chances are you are straight (just make sure she isn't with a guy because you might be looking at her but thinking of him).

If a guy and a girl "turn you on", then you are bisexual.

Sexuality is not always black or white. Many people are attracted to members of one sex at one time, and the other at others. Some have long happy relationships wwith a member of their own sex, followed by the same with a member of the opposite. This can be even more confused when we find ourselves really liking a member of the opposite sex and enjoying their company, while feeling secretly attracted to members of our own.

I would encourage you not to worry about labels. If, over time, you find that you're really only interested romantically in members of your own sex, and it''s comforting to identify yourself as a member of the gay community, great. Otherwise, take people as individuals and follow your heart.
