do those free email offers exist?

when you get an email offer for a $500 gift cert for best buy or the like and they say you have to take survey. does that really mean you will get the offer whatever it may be?

I tried one of those and spent a lot of time on the survey. Then I found out I had to "participate" in several ofers. It seem that the $500 was my own money, i.e. rebating part of the commission that the got from selling all these other offes.

its not really free since you have to participate in one of their sponsore's paid offer. you might spend $100 to get $500. i've never tried though
