I think its a beautiful name! I have heard it for boys and girls so I say use it!
You could also use: Angeleya, Angelica, or Angalina. If you like Angel then go for it!
=)

I can tell you now that in middle and high school boys will say "so are you an angel?" and so on. I know a few people named angel and they all got picked on. But I don't see it being a boy name at all.
Maybe try Angelina, I thought about that for my girl but didn't use it, I named her Lily instead.

Even though I see the name Angel on more boys than girls, it fits a girl much better... I'm sorry but a guy with a name like Angel - it's too soft and fem! No offense to the Angel dudes out there!

Its cute. But maybe use it as a middle name. Remember she's going to grow up some day and Angel is a name that doesnt suit a lot of careers. For example, most people dont' want a lawyer named Angel. And you never hear about business tycoons named Angel. That name is kind of labeling too. A lot of girls i know with labeling names, like cherish, chastity, etc. Rebel because everyone labels them and asumes they match that label perfectly. It can be very frustrating.

Name your child whatever you like! I don't think that is a boys name at all. I would think it was strange if someone named their baby boy Angel.

yeah - it doesn't sound very professional. What happens when she grows up? Do you know any CEOs named Angel? Maybe think of a name that is a little more sophisticated but you can shorten to be cute while she's young
Anne - Annie
Eleanor - Ellie
Madeline - Maddie
Caroline - Callie
Angelina - Angel
just some examples. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Angel is only a name for a boy or a female stripper. However, Angela is one of my favorite names for a girl.

It's a beautiful name. I like: Angel Marie
It definitely does not sound like a stripper's name. As far as growing up and getting a job with that name goes People are usually hired by their intelligence (sometimes looks), not their names.
Angel Marie Whatever, CEO

I hate that name. When you call someone an angel, you are saying that they are perfect, and that's what you would be doing to your girl if you named her that. And it is a girl's name!
