I'm getting a cam sensor issue when I have the diagnostic run on my yukon. It runs fine but the Gas Mileage is worse than normal.
Any one else ever have this issue? Or know what could be wrong? Should the small hose that comes from the cam sensor be loose? Mine is. I've put it on tight but the check engine light is still on.
THANKS.

The code is P1345 Cam Sensor or Crank Sensor. Don't know where to start. Each part is $60-$70. Don't even know which one to try first. I guess it might be starting a little harder but the big thing is the gas mileage.

Are you sure the part on the engine you're dealing with is actually the cam sensor? Should be an electrical device---normally on or near the timing cover and have a wire connector going to it not a hose. Cam sensors read the cam position for the computer and are electrical items. Not sure if your vehicle has one---don't find a part listing for it at Rockauto.com Describe fault code and part location you are dealing with.

Have you cleared the code and re-ran the scan?
