Some boys will develop armpit and belly hair earlier than others. It is NOTHING to be ashamed or embarrassed of. Relax and other boys your age will catch up in a year or two. It's not a big deal, even though you might feel different, your not. You are PERFECT the way you are; don't let anyone tell you different...

You should be proud that you are getting hairy, it is a sign you are sexually and physically maturing. Most likely you are asking becuase you are way ahead of the other guys you know--so keep this in mind: Guys generally grow at similar rates up until 11 or so, then some enter puberty sooner than others--grow faster, start growing pubes and underarm hair, then belly hair, while other guys may be a year or two behind.

Embarrassed? Probably. Ashamed? Of course not, it's not something you have any control over and it's perfectly natural. You just "blossomed" earlier than your buddies, that's all. In every class of 7th or 8th graders, there is almost always one boy who peaked really early and has body hair where his classmates are still hairless. It's always embarrassing for that one boy, but a cause of wonder and admiration for everyone else. The healthy approach is to be open about it and let them look and stare as much as they want until they get used to seeing you like that or until they get that far along themselves, which they will eventually. Think of yourself as a preview of coming attractions for everyone else.

It is natural though some may think a bit earlier to have body hair. You should not be ashamed of it. Take it in your stride and laugh with others!

No! Not at twelve. Men worry about two problems with hair. Not enough on their head, and too much on their face. If you don't have either of those problems (and at 12 I wouldn't think you have) then you don't have a problem. Don't worry about it and just be yourself.
