Just go out to the club. Watch everyone, see the different moves and practice. That way you know whats hot and in style. Watch music videos. And if you have time during the week, throw some music on and practice at home while you cooking or cleaning. Thats how I learned...

Go straight to a club and break the ice from day one .. Never mind what others say about your dancing - most probably only your companion will notice you any way - and always remember: "No lessons outside the water can teach a person how to swim!"

Depens upon what kind of dancing you are looking to do and what kind of club you are going to.
Clubs that play country music generally have, before the very busy parts of the evening, offer lessons in two-step and line dancing.
Clubs that play swing music(Big Band, jazz etc) almost always have dance lessons in swing, lindy hop, charleston and many others.
I am not aware that any dance clubs of hip hop or house music gives out dance lessons, as it tends not to be dance steps, but simple freestyle gyration, in other words, just swaying and moving to the beat of the music
whale.

You get a pole and practice, and then ask someone if they think that you're ready, and then go to auditions, just kidding. Watch other people or ask someone that you know to show you how, also there are plenty of places that you can go to learn, go to clubs and observe other people, or even go to classes, they might even have them on-line just in case your too shy to go to a studio.

You need to start having sex. Lots of it, with lots of different people. You will see different styles, get to try out some new styles of your own, and eventually find your rythme. By being with a lot of different people you will be exposed to new styles, be able to experiment, and learn to move your body in a sensual way. Otherwise, rent Showgirls and Striptease.

Watch other people. Pick a style you like. Try to imitate. And practice a lot.
