people on the left are not "RIGHT"
they are hypocritical elitist

Elitism is an ideological belief, that the highly born, or the highly educated, or the highly rich, should have particular control of things in general.
Merely being a member of a group that might reasonably, generically, be classified as an elite by others, does not make a person an elitist.
The democratic party, with its tradition of taking up the cause of the poor and disenfranchised, tends to be less elitist than the republican party, with its deference to the interests of the rich and powerful. Though individuals will obviously vary.
As to why "idiots consider the left to be elite," well, certainly there are people on both sides who could reasonably be considered members of some elite or other. If some idiots go further and think the whole of the left is "elite" it's probably just due to their being idiots, and therefore open to suggestion by propanda on that subject.

I do not know about the idiots, but much of the Left is elitist. If you look at the spy ring that almost brought the Western Alliance to its knees during the Cold War it was composed of Kim Philby, Burgess, Maclean and Sir Antony Blunt among others. These were Cambridge graduates. The Prime Minister in Great Britain who socialized everything - Atlee - went to Eton.
Teddy Kennedy is a limousine liberal from central casting. He is extremely elitist. And so it goes.
The whole New Class idea is elitist.

They see all the smart decent caring people in the world lean that way, so they disavow the republican party and join with the left.

Yeah, how can anyone look at Dick Cheney, Brent Bozell and his Buckley family, the Bush Dynasty, etc. and consider them to be of the common everyday people?
