Rodriguez has multiple Most Valuable Player Awards, and he needs a breakout year?

Here on Planet Reality, he's already the best player drawing breath. That really should be good enough.

A-rod's break out season happened about eight or nine years ago when he was in Seattle. This year is a crossroads in his career, because if the Yankees dont make the playoffs, or if he plays terrible in the playoffs like he did last year, he will opt out of his contract and look for employment elsewhere. (Cubs or Angels)

With multiple MVP's, I think he's already had his break out year(s). If the Yankees can make a run and get into the playoffs, I think this will be his break out year in the post season. With the option to get out of his contract and become a free agent, he will be absolutely motivated to be the clutch player that all Yankee fans are waiting for him to be in the playoffs.

For the yankees yes. Looks like it is already a great season for HR's and average.

If the fans would get off him and let him do his job, they would appreciate the results much more from him. I guess with that being said though that will never happen in NY.

They follow the concept of "Yeah we won" and "Oh you guys Lost". It is there team when they win and Georges team when they lose. and George is quick to point fingers

It is hard to say that the highest paid player in the league has not already had a "break out year." He's had several. This year could put him in line for the HOF!

No, because the Yankees will not make the playoffs. Sure, they won some games last week. But they played the lowly Pirates and White Sox!
