Impossibility is strictly perception. If we decide that we can't do something, it will be impossible for us to accomplish that thing - whatever it may be. For the longest time, running a four minute mile was impossible, until someone did it. Now numerous individuals have all achieved "the impossible", because perception changed. It really is a case of mind over matter. Impossible is a word only to be found in the dictionary of fools.

If something is impossible, it will never occur or exist, no matter what the circumstance.
But nothing CAN BE impossible because simply by stating the "impossibility" is evidence that that "thing" can be conceived by the human mind and therefore can happen in a thought.
Only the unsaid and unthought are impossible.

Impossible is plenty in any limited context such as in a small space or in a minute or in one individual etc.......... as the context expands, the size and number of impossible shrink........ therefore impossible can be nothing only in the unlimited context which does not really relate to us.....
It is good for us to know what all is impossible in our own context and then we should try to strengthen and broaden ourselves to keep on reducing what all is impossible for us. That is what is life all about.
Thanks for a probing question making one realize the reality.

The more we learn, what we are capable of changes. The limits of what we can accomplish are ever-expanding. So what we might consider impossible today, might be easy tomorrow.
But when we assume something is impossible, we prevent ourselves from even attempting to overcome the obstacle..
And its most often in those efforts that we discover solutions- we don't always know how we're going to accomplish something when we begin. But that doesn't stop us from setting the goal.

I think it was Nike that switched that phrase around to "impossible is nothing." In other words, anything can be achieved. Maybe not by you or by your friend, but by someone.

There are things that are impossible. For instance, it is impossible to effect the existence of God. IF ( I say IF) he exists we cannot through our lack of belief cause him to cease to exist and if he does not exist it is impossible through our belief in him to cause him to exist. If we could do either of the two he would not be god... we would be.
