Generally not. They usually keep you a couple hours afterwards to make sure you're not bleeding too much and will send you home on some pain medications, if needed.

Contrary to the other answers: I spent the night after having one around 6pm. Husband slept in a fold-out chair in the hospital room, too.
It wasn't a bad idea for pain control, but it wasn't, admittedly, necessary.
This was in Canada. I'm going to assume it depends on where you are, the hospital, your doctor, etc. But if you want to stay, there's no harm in asking.

No; this is an out-patient procedure. You will stay for a bit in the recovery area and be home within hours.

NO. I have had 2 and the send u home at least an hour later, unless there are complications but there shouldn't be.
