Start with the classically annoying Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison.
Then get a copy of the Pretty Hate Machine CD by Nine Inch Nails (the whole CD is depressing). Pay particular attention to Something I Can Never Have (Track 5).
Then go really old-school and listen to Yearning for Your Love by the Gap Band.
Follow this with Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue.
If you aren't suicidal yet, finish with Another Lonely Christmas by Prince.
