I need someone's help here who has sat in the back floor sections at an averaged sized arena (about 20,000 seating capacity) such as Madison Square Garden. Are the seats terrible? Can you see the stage ok? Are they better than getting seats that are higher up? Any help is MASSIVELY appreciated.

well, depends on the arena, obviously (I've never been to MSG) but since the floor seating is level (at least where I've been) the backs seats do kinda suck (in my experience - I learned my lesson well) - unless you're really tall & can see past all the people in front of you - I would prefer to have the best first level seats rather than floor seats in the back

I've seen the eagles, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel and Roger Waters at the Manchester Evening News Arena all WELL at the back - (at the eagles i was on the back row) all four gigs were AMAZING i suppose it depends on the act as well but the sound was awesome especially at Roger Waters. I've also seen the likes of Alice Cooper and System of a Down a lot closer but still seated and enjoyed them just as much. The only noticeable difference was Muse cos i was standing (at the front woo) THAT was beyond words.

Hope this helps and that it doesn't sound like i'm just bragging lol

I would have to say no.

I've had one of the most unpleasant concert experiences at a theater that seated a fourth of that capacity and I was in the middle. Some jerk insisted on standing during one song, a huge hit of the performer and enraged everyone behind him.

There is going to be a show I really want to see at the same venue and I would rather pay twice as much to get closer.
