I want to make this right. I have been freaking out over it since it happened. I hit a parked car in a parking lot and panicked and left. Now I want to go back and make everything right. I feel really bad about it. I know it was wrong and I should have stopped but I got scared and left. I really need some advice on how to make this right. Who do I go back and give my info to? This happened in a different county than I live in. Can someone help me please?

Go to a lawyer!! It is a good thing that you want to go back, however, get a lawyer first.

Call your insurance carrier and see if they have any advice. Check with the local cops and ask if a report was filed. Pat a notice in the local newspaper but don't describe either vehicle, your address/phone number, or where it happened. Get a new email ID to use for correspondence for this.

Call either the town police or county sheriff where the incident occurred. For all you know, someone saw you do it and gave your tag number to the cops, it would look much better if you turned yourself in instead of waiting for them to come get you. Besides, it's the right thing to do.

Unless you have their license plate or something to track them it may be hard to find a car in a country you dont even live in.
