When the opposing point is put forth, the host must drown out the message or the audience may begin to think for themselves. What you are seeing on these shows is a media version of mob rule and technological lynching.

It’s an effective tactic so that the other side won’t be heard. Legitimate talk show hosts don’t do that but instead listen and then question an answer. An example of a fairly good host is Charlie Rose who, even if he doesn’t agree with the viewpoint being expressed, allows the person answering to explain and interrupts only for legitimate clarification.

Because they are disrespectful, disgusting pigs. But they are intelligent enough to know that in a respectful, coherent discussion, their dogmatic tendencies will get them eaten alive. In other words, people of this kind know that what they are doing is incoherent gibberish, so they yell real loud so we will be distracted by the noise.

Good point! I don't know if you're old enough to remember him, but there was once a liberal talk show host named Phil Donahue. He interviewed all sorts of people, and he never shouted down anyone with whom he disagreed. I really wish he were back on the air!

why do liberal tv news shows never have a conservative guest
and to tell you the truth
the liberals on talk radio try to talk over the host
the host still has the controls though

Some like Larry Elder have been talking over everyone for so long, that they studder now. It's kind of sad that they don't want to hear the other side now and then. I know I would. If we live in a blind world, how will we ever see.

cause they are arrogant, and because it's "their" show and they can. But actually it's not only the "conservative" talk show hosts that do that. And, it's not all hosts that do that either.

The dems are a bunch of wusses. They chickened out of debating on Fox News which would be cosponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus. Just a few are mulling over whether to appear on it.
