i am pretty much surrounded by old guys and sometimes it makes makes me wish i went to school for something else

Yes, there are mostly men where I work. They are unaware that I have a head and speak directly into my breasts when attempting to communicate with me.

I am a woman working in an industrial sales position, and even though I am new-ish to hte company, I am already seeing evidence of the "old-boys network" and things like that. For example, the other day a couple of guys were talking about going on another weekend fishing trip together. Thats when it dawned on me that I will never be on a fishing trip with any man in that company because I am a woman. Thats one of the reasons why its harder for women to succeeed in these professions. Men hang out together and network and make business deals while the women are not included at all.

Sure do I was the only woman on the department of 75. I hated the notion woman did not belong doing a mans job but men were easier to deal with than women.

Actually, my job is the opposite. lol. There are like 800 women in the office and about 6 guys... Poor things.

im not, i work in a field dominated by older women. Trust me, i think i would prefer to be in one dominated by men. Womens periods are all based on their cycles where men are dictated by logic.

Nearly every profession is still dominated by older males, and anyone who tells you differently doesn't know what they're talking about.

I used to be the only female on a crew of men. Some days it wasn't so bad, and other days, I wanted to bring my gun. Now I work where men are only permitted to watch and pay the bill! (and I still want to bring my gun)

im surrounded by very career minded women/really back stabbing for promotions and sometimes i feel out of place coz i'm more laid back i mean i dont even bother to participate in their office politics

I work at a prison for adult males. Although we do have women working there it is mostly dominated by males.
