If you're one of those Liberals always calling people who oppose illegal immigration bigots, doesn't it feel weird to be on the same side as Bush?

I am a Liberal and I am completely against illegal immigration of any kind. I think it is much stranger that Bush is on the same side as the Democrats on this one.

Many opposing immigration REFORM are bigots. Those people simply don't want foreigners in the country (illegal or otherwise). They oppose the reform because it allows the workers we need to come into the country (or stay if they are already here).

It is more important to them to deport the people they do not like (at whatever expense to the government, the economy and the industries that employ them) than solve the problem created by 20 years of inadequate immigration policy and inadequate border control. These same people would also deny the entry of enough workers (even legally) to get the work done.

That is bigotry, pure and simple, because it is not based on what is good for the country, it is based on keeping people they do not like out of the country.

We aren't "on the side of bush" in ANYTHING.

bush couldn't care LESS about "bigots" he is using that as a "political card trick," just like he uses everything and everybody to further his own agenda. 9/11? Iraq?

bush wants illegals here to provide his Big Business pals with cheap labor. End of story.

I do not think illegal immigration is right... it isn't fair to the people who are trying to become legal citizens

howdy. whilst George replaced into down in Mexico, and instructed their president that he concept Kennedy replaced right into an excellent legislator and he could be coping with the immigration bill, I knew then he had lost his concepts.

They won't be on the same side. You see, this is how a liberal mind works. They don't think for themselves. They find out what Bush is saying, then they think and do the opposite. Once they realize where his stance is on this issue, you can bet the libs will think otherwise.

I think if Bush is on this bill, it means it simply benefits big business.
