Ok I was told that I have gestational diabetes and that I need to test my sugar lvl's 4 times a day. The only problem I have with this is that since I've been testing my sugar lvl it's always in the healthy non-diabetic area. Usually around the 90's. Did my Dr. make a mistake? I'm not going to keep testing my blood for the heck of it...this is annoying and pointless if you ask me.

i haven't changed my diet at all, I'm eating the same way I always have. Of course I've always watched my sugar and what not anyway just trying to eat healthy. It's just kind making me mad because I really don't think anything is wrong. I've been totally healthy my entire life and it's not like diabetes runs in my family either.

Did you have the 1-hour glucose tolerance test or the 3-hour test (or both)?
It is possible to have gestational diabetes but to be borderline, and blood sugar levels can easily fluctuate so it is possible you've just been doing really well.
Have you altered your diet and modified when you eat your carbs? If so, then you are successfully managing your illness.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Did they also put you on a diet? If so, and if you are sticking to the diet, that is probably why your sugar lvls are normal. I just found out I have gestational diabetes also and I hate it. But I do what I have to do because I know it's what's best for my babies.
GOOD LUCK!

Have them retest you to make sure it was not an error. If you do have gestational diabees the ramifications of not testing and haveing the side effects are troublesome and dangerous not to mention having a huge baby to push out is not fun...

I would let the Dr. know what your readings have been. But in the meantime you should keep checking it, because it sounds like you run kinda low and you don't want to have a hypoglycimic incident, either. They are very scary. Good luck!

In this case, I would suggest you take the doctor's advice. It's not that big of a deal is it? I do it on the underside of the first joint ( the fat part) of my middle finger. On the tip of the finger that many times a day, would probably make your fingers sore. Or you can do it on your arm, with the new meters.
