Can cigs have a white end (not the average oragneish one) and still be filtered? The ones in question are Marlbros Lights. Im no smoker so idk about all this... i just want to know if its filtered or not.

yeah, filters are white anyway it is just the papr around them that is coloured, menthol cigarettes ahve white ends as well.

as long as the end you're smoking doesn't have tobacco coming out and looks like white foam - it's filtered. I know what you mean though, I had a couple packs of marlboro light menthols and the whole outside paper is white. Too weak for my taste though.

Yes, the orange one just makes it easier to figure out which end has the filter.

Yes they have filters. In fact the filters are supposed to be thicker.

Filters can be any color. And while they make the smoke taste cooler, they do not remove any significant amount of cancer causing chemicals - they are no safer than unfiltered cigarettes.

The filter can get pretty "orangish" while dragging on it while playing cards
