Sounds like you have 2 problems not 1. Happiness can only come from integrity between your actions and what you believe as true. If "the one you are with" no longer has your heart then it is best to let it go earlier than later.
If your heart is sold out to someone you can not have - why is it that you can not have them? Be careful to distinguish between love and infatuation. The fact that your heart yearns for the "unattainable" if both a crutch and a lure.

If that is the case then you need to take a step back and figure out what you really want. you can't lead the other person on if you don't really love them, they don't deserve that. Explain to them the situation and then take some time to yourself until you can figure out exactly what you want. and you shouldn't do something that isn't gonna make you happy anyway. It is a tough situation you are in, and i wish you the best of luck in your decision, but take the time to make the right decision and don't hurt others the process. Good luck!!

you have to make a list of all the things that are good about the person you are with. You also have to make the effort to do positive things with that person.
I don't think you ever get over the other person. I think partly it is because you can't have them.
Remind yourself that it is better to be with someone you know totally loves you.

OMG you are talking about me aren't you? I will always love the person I'm with but my heart is with someone else as I am completely in love with him. The thing is I am going to do whatever I can to be with the man I truly love!

Have you been in a physical relationship with the other person?
Or is he a fantasy?
The grass always looks greener on the other side, but they fertilize with the same crap so watch where you step.
If you don't feel you belong with the person you're with get out. No since in lying to him or using him!
Maybe someone else will come along and make you feel that it's right?

You break up with the person you're with because you can't force yourself to love someone you don't and it's unfair on them if they really like you. Try and get over this other person alone or wait and see if they become someone you can be with.

that is what I am going through right now I wouldn't say I love another person but I like another person. Me an my wife fell out of love years ago. If you don't love the person you are with you never will. Love isn't something you just do it is an emotion you can't control your emotions.

If you have feelings for someone else, maybe you need to rethink that "love" you were with. Why hurt the person you are with, if you don't really love them? Let them move on, and find someone who does love them.
