Please tell me you remember him. He was the previous pope, prior to Pope Benedict. He reigned as pope for nearly 30 years. He was best known for his accessability to the common people--he was the most traveled pope of all time. He was Polish, and was a freedom fighter during WWII. Several miracles have already been attributed to him, and he is on the fast track for sainthood.

It's not something that I would normally say - but why ask such a stupid question?
Pope - right, he was a pope
John Paul - so he was called John Paul
II - So he was the second pope to be called John Paul.
I'm very deeply atheist and that seems like a stupid question, so please don't tell me that you're catholic.
