It's really the only thing I want from my kids (and wife), especially the home made ones. They don't have the means to acquire much of anything else, and I usually buy myself the things I want.

I have a complaint that Fathers Day falls during the summer months when school is out. Mothers Day falls during the school year and all the little kids make cards for their mothers. Fathers get left out because of this. Change Fathers Day so that we can also get some attention and recognition. I'm a father of four and I usually get forgot about. I guess I'm sentimental.

I know I am not a guy but I am married to a man that likes to get cards. This is something that I rarely do, I feel like they are a waste of paper because they usually get thrown in the trash. my husband likes cards because his family likes giving them, they gave us a card last week when we got a new puppy. For some men, I think it is a great idea. A lot of men are not what you would call affectionate and they really don't like to be fussed over, so getting or giving a card is their way of doing this. It sounds like a simple solution to me.

I don't think we get into cards as much as the women do. Just so it's something. I admit that if I didn't get one, I would probably be insulted, or think I did something to make my wife mad. My kids get me a card to make me laugh. My wife must spend alot of time picking out a card that is just right. It seems that she always gets one that is appropiate for what is going on in our life. When I read it, I'm more touched by the thought that she searched for the perfect card more so than what the card actually says.

In my opinion everybody loves getting mail (not bills). A card is nice but only if the person who sends it actually writes in it. I'm not big on reading the greeting card and seeing a signature at the bottom. Make it unique with your own message.

I guess when the kids were younger that I enjoyed them, because it was a "big deal" for them. Now that they are full grown, it's not as important to me because I feel that it's too much fuss and bother. I do however want them to send their Mom a card on Mothers Day, because she spent a lot more time nurturing them and is much more sentimental than I.

Can take them or leave them. Would prefer to have someone tell me what they want to say face to face. I definitely do not feel bad if I don't get a card for a holiday.
