Both. You've gotta treat yourself for all your hard work! Just put the $1000 away for college first and then stick to your $800 budget. You are doing some serious mature thinking, I cannot even remember what I blew my graduation money on to this day.

I'm the type of person who can't make up their mind so I think I'll go for both.
But then, a guitar won't give u much benifit!

I'm a big saver. I would buy something smaller with the money, but put the rest away. Savings comes in handy so often when a big, unexpected expense comes up.

college. once you get thru college, you'll have more money to buy more things you really want. just tell your parents straight up you want the guitar as a present for xmas or bday

make sure that you take care of your financial obligations first, then if you have money left over get yourself the guitar.
