I am going to Vegas in Sept, I havent been in forever. What hotels are less expensive, maybe offering bonuses like free or half off meals. I want to stay on the strip kinda in the center. We cant afford $400 a night... Whats free out there? What do we HAVE to do??? What resturants are really good but not that much money??? Any advice or tips would be great.. Thanks

If you want to be center strip, you best bets for affordable yet decent rooms would be at Flamingo, Bally's and Harrah's. Another decent option is Tuscany Suites. It is a block east of the strip on Flamingo, easily within walking distance of the strip. The rooms are all large "mini-suites" with seating areas and small kitchens and it is rarely over $150 a night even on the busiest weekend. I have rooms pics of Tuscany as well as the other places I mention on my site at...

truthfully all the major casinos/hotels are nice.

just pick a theme and price you like and you'll be happy.

as far as the best value in Vegas:

I recommend the Orleans.

The Orleans
was rated "Best Value in the US" ( by tripadvisor.com users)
rated "Best Bargin 2006" (by Las Vegas Journal)
ranked #2 for "Best Hotel" in Vegas (by Yahoo users)

it has clean spacious rooms
14 great restaurants
great gambling - friendly staff
nice pool & spa - bowling alley - movie theater
less than a mile from the Strip - free shuttle every 15 minutes

Bally's is right in the middle of the strip. It is very nice, but not extravagant and you can get very good rates there.

For good, reasonalby priced food try the buffet at the Palms (it is a few blocks off strip, but you can take a short cab ride or long walk.)

We stayed at the Luxor for 7 nights and it was only like $300 and that was July 4 week. Its nice, but just make sure you don't get a room near the Ra(club). They put us near it and all we heard was thumping from the music, so we had them put us in different rooms. I had the best time.

I don't know how cheap it is, but the Rio is right off the strip, very cool, and you can usually find some great deals for rooms there if you liik around. See the pirate show at the Treasure Island. It's really cool.

stay faraway from the Wild Wild West. it incredibly is a rundown prostitute infested inn on line casino off the strip. attempt Hooters they're low-cost and one million block from the strip and around the line from the MGM. additionally Fremont highway hotels are low-cost besides like the Plaza, Binions, Nugget, Fitzgeralds 4 Queens and diverse extra. they're style of old simply by fact it incredibly is the unique Vegas however the charges are the main inexpensive in Vegas. Fremont highway is in basic terms a 5 to 10 minute stress to the strip and theres 24 hour busses referred to as the Duece that runs each and every 5 minutes all nighttime. by making use of taxi its approximately 15 dollars to the strip The El Cortez isn't happening. it incredibly is uninteresting, extremely and infested with pesky elderly people who peek over your shoulder whilst your playing the slots. the cost is low-cost yet its a pair of blocks from Fremont st. The walk from Fremont highway to the El Cortez is rather risky at nighttime. On Fremont highway theres a team of police yet once you walk off it incredibly is darkish with a team of crackheads prowling around searching for yet another hit and for somebody to rape. ok consistent with possibility I over exaggerated even though it incredibly is a frightening walk.
